Here are a few facts about the The Artists Palette which is situated along Artists Drive in the desert landscape of Death Valley, California, USA.
Mineral Facts: various mineral pigments have coloured the volcanic deposits. Iron salts produce the reds, pinks, and yellows while decomposing mica causes the green colour and manganese gives the purple. The desert of Death Valley National Park is extremely diverse and many facts are obtainable from the Visitor Information Centre in the National Park.
