The Etang de Vaccares in the Parc Regional de Camargue, Provence in France is the largest of the lakes in the Camargue region. This salt-water lagoon, in the Rhone delta, is a haven for migratory birds, a place they can rest and eat before the long flight to warmer climates. The Etang de Vaccares is 65 square kilometers in area but only 2 meters deep.Etang de Vaccares, Parc Naturel Regional de Camargue, Plaine de la Camargue, Camargue, Les Bouches du Rhone, Provence, France, Europe.
