A day trip to Karlstein in the Czech Republic is the ideal spot for a round of golf and a history lesson about the Karlstein Castle that you could accomplish in one day of your vacation.The Karlstejn Golf Course is classified as a professional course as it hosted the PGA Tour in 1997 and the Czech Open on several occasions. The greens are very challenging and the fairways possess ponds, sand traps and hills throughout with a beautiful view of the historic Karlstein castle from every hole. There is a new clubhouse that caters to golfers as well as non-golfers, a driving range, putting and chipping green, pro shop and a restaurant.After an early morning round of golf you can visit the Karlstein Castle in the Czech Republic as it is a very impressive sight to see and tour. The castle was built in 1348 and was used as a place to keep reliquaries and crown jewels safe.
