A must see rock formation while visiting the Alabama Hills Recreation Area is Heart Arch, accessed along Movie Flat Road.
Dubbed the heart of the Alabama Hills, Heart Arch is a formation in a rock along Movie Flat Road in the Alabamas.
For now the formation is in the shape of a heart but you can clearly see that over time, with further erosion of the rock with wind and rain, that this will eventually be a real arch.
In the foreground the rock looks as though it has bubbled to the top and then been smoothed off by the elements of nature.
Heart Arch is only one of the many rock formations to point your camera during a visit to the Alabama Hills Recreation Area.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, aperture of f/22.0, exposure time of 1/15 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 200mm.
