Founded in 1818, there are close to 14 million items on exhibit in the museum from various areas such as natural history, history, arts, music and librarianship which are spread out in ten different buildings.The main building of the National Museum is the dominant landmark in Wenceslas Square where permanent exhibits are on display while others are switched up regularly.
