On a fine day the waters of Lake Superior gently lap at the sandy beach shores of Katherine Cove, and soothes the large boulders which flank the small bay.
Katherine Cove is situated in the southern section of Lake Superior Provincial Park - close to Agawa Bay (to its south). A picnic and day use area, Katherine Cove is the ideal family destination with easy access from the main road.
The coast of Lake Superior offers a variety of interesting landscapes from pine fringed bays of sand or pebbles, to sheer cliffs of ancient rock. The shores of Katherine Cove offer a spectacular platform from which to watch the constant action of the waves responsible, in part, for shaping the coastline of Lake Superior. With its westward outlook, it is also a splendid location for watching the sun set.
