A stroll along the quiet cobbled lanes of the walled village of Morella in Castellon, a province of Valencia, Spain makes a nice contrast to the necessary visits to the museums, churches and castle.The two and a half kilometer wall around Morella in Spain has seven entrances and one passes through one of these entrances to find these narrow cobbled lanes lined with four and five storied buildings. The people of Morella take pride in their houses and the balconies are adorned with flowers and plants.The village lanes and streets of Morella exude history - the walks visitors take today could have been taken over the centuries by Romans, Arabs, Christians and maybe El Cid himself who scaled the wall in 1088.The main street of Morella in Valencia, Spain, has many small shops where one can purchase local fare - honey, olive oil, herb liqueur, wonderful cheeses, vegetables and much more.
