Sunsets can turn rugged mountains into a soft pastel scene. The 1749 meter mountain Serre de Montdenier, seen from the Gorges du Verdon in the Alpes de Haute, Provence in France, blends with the other ranges to present a scene only nature can produce. The Gorges du Verdon is 25 kilometers long and in places 700 meters deep, it is the second largest gorge in the world. A popular destination for rock climbers, hikers, and kayakers, but mainly a place to find the beauty and peace where the mountains meet the sky. Camping is available in the Montdenier where people relax in the tranquility of the area and watch as each sunset explodes into a breathtaking picture.Serre de Montdenier seen from the Grand Canyon du Verdon, Gorges du Verdon at sunset, Parc Naturel Regional du Verdon, Alpes de Haute, Provence, France, Europe.
