This button blanket is part of traditional Native American Clothing. Each blanket takes hours of hand stitching both the fabric and each button. Button blanket making is an important art for the Native American people, who use the blankets at Potlatches, and various celebrations. This blanket was made especiallyfor the Biannaul Sealaska Celebration which draws tribe members from various North American areas. This was held in Juneau, Alaska.
