This Native Indian girl is part of the Blackfoot Nation and is dressed beautifully in her traditional native clothes attending a pow wow at the Siksika Fair in Alberta, Canada.A pow wow is where native people join together in festivities of dancing, music, visiting friends of new and old and sharing ideas and thoughts of the old ways and to ensure their heritage is still acknowledged. The native people perform dances and an assortment of songs related to joy, honour, spiritual meanings and just about anything that you can imagine.
