A mecca for tourism, the coastal town of Kaikoura sits in a prime location which is surrounded by natural beauty as well as wildlife galore.
Being a popular holiday and vacation destination, the coastal town of Kaikoura caters to a large variety of tourist activities such as whale watching, dolphin watching, hiking, fishing, golf, wine tasting, or simply relaxing.
Kaikoura was first established as a centre for the whaling industry but later developed into a major destination for Sperm whale watching. From this, tourism soon became a mainstay industry for Kaikoura expanding into Dolphin watching, bird spotting, hiking, fishing and much more.
