The beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley is a scenic river valley which was etched out by a series of glaciers some 14,000 years ago. While these glaciers were at work shaping the valley, they were also depositing materials which would later combine to form the landscape and scenery we know today. The Qu'Appelle River (at 430Km or 267 miles long) stretches across approximately two thirds of southern Saskatchewan which is close to 700 kilometres wide (driving along the Trans Canada Highway).
To best take in the sights of this beautiful river valley and it's unique scenery, a loop road takes in the four main lakes of the Qu'Appelle Valley: Pasqua, Echo, Mission, and Katepwa Lakes as well as the Echo Valley and Katepwa Point Provincial Parks.
