The sun has nearly vanished for the remainder of the day near a rocky island off the shore from the town of L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, Canada, leaving behind its spectacular show of colors. Thin clouds are scattered across the sky as the sunset lighting turns them a shade of pink.
As the tide recedes, the large rocks which dot the coastline are exposed and silhouetted against the setting sun. Lush green grass fringes the shores near the town of L'Anse aux Meadows, an ideal location to watch the brilliant sunset from along the rocky coastline.
