The Romanesque beauty of the Campanile of the Duomo in the city of Siena, Tuscany in Italy can only be admired from the outside, as tours of the interior are not allowed. However, the striking black and white bands of the distinctive exterior make the Siena Campanile one of the best in this part of Italy. Also interesting is the fact that the windows increase in number at each floor.
The Duomo cathedral is open to the public and for a small fee, visitors can journey to the underground crypt or climb to the top of the dome and admire the Campanile from a different angle. The Campanile (bell tower) of the Siena Duomo (Cathedral) in the historic old town district in the City of Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Province of Siena, Region of Tuscany, Italy, Europe.
