The City of Siena in the Tuscany, Italy dates back to at least 70 AD and offers the visitor many wonderful sights of historic architecture as well as medieval art.
This historic city was built on three hills and features the famous Piazza del Campo at its centre. The Piazza is a popular tourist spot which is shaped in a semi-circle with the town hall and tower at its heart. Cafes line the Piazza del Campo and offer dining from breakfast through to a late night snack. Other popular sights in the city include the Siena Duomo and Museum. The historic city centre of Siena was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 for its well preserved Gothic appearance which was acquired between the 12th and 15th centuries. The historical city centre which is based around the Piazza Del Campo is considered a work of art.
