Easy to access, close to Las Vegas and definitely worth the trip is the scenic drive of Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area in Nevada, USA.
I sure picked a beautiful winter morning when I visited the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area for the first time, driving along the scenic road drive which is going through the park. It snowed over night in the Spring Mountains so I had not only the beautiful desert landscape of the park, the red rocks but also snow capped mountains with heavy storm clouds right at sunrise.
Make sure if you are in Las Vegas to put a few hours aside to visit this scenic park - it is worth it!

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, aperture of f/20.0, exposure time of 4/10 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 100mm.
