The pride and joy of Karlstein Village is the Karlstein Castle; it is one of the most visited castles in all of the Czech Republic, and is an excellent example of Gothic architecture. It was founded in 1348 AD by Charles IV, King of Bohemia and a trip here is like stepping back in time.
