A Starfish found on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Plan for low tide on the Westcoast to find Starfish and other little sea creatures along the rocks. Starfish are carnivorous, and feed on oysters, clams, coral, fish, and other small animals. Starfish are also known as Sea Stars, and are hard-skinned animals that are echinoderms rather than fish and live on the rocky ocean floor or in rocky outcrops. Slow moving, with a diverse range of colours, Starfish are really interesting creatures to photograph.
