Earth has six major biomes worldwide that are then divided into sections with the Coastal Ocean areas belonging to the Ocean biome. Ocean biomes are probably the most important of all the biomes as they have a great effect on the global climate and they contain several billion photosynthetic plankton which accounts for most of the photosynthesis occurring on Earth. Without this biome you would find there would be a lack of oxygen to support the population and animal life of the world.
The Coastal Ocean Biome has been threatened with overfishing and pollution and could eventually make oceans an ecological disaster. In recent years there have been much stricter regulations put in place to prevent further destruction of the Coastal Ocean biomes.
Two thirds of our planet is covered with water and as the sea levels rises with the tides the shores can sometimes be very wet or dry. ...More information below photos...

Each stretch of land is different depending on the tides, water currents, winds, temperature, climate and the types of rock from which Mother Nature created the land.
Search the inter-tidal coast where many marine animals live that have come to adjust to the tides that can be calm and soothing one moment and full of roughness and brutality the next.
If everybody took a small step in protecting the Ocean biomes as well as the freshwater, desert, forest, grassland and tundra biomes, then we would all be making an effort in preserving the Earth's natural biomes and protecting our world.
