Street signs together on a post in Manitoba tell drivers where they are going or what direction they are heading in. This collection includes the sign for Mile 0 of the Yellowhead Highway.
Street signs are often the same in every country, so that no matter where you visit, you will at least be able to understand where you are heading at least most of the time. Sometimes you may have to double back though to check that you are heading in the right direction, especially with so many signs on one post. This post has signs for the airport, route 85 west and for Mile 0 of the Yellowhead Highway.
The Yellowhead Highway is actually huge and extends across Western Canada. It goes from Winnipeg Manitoba to the Queen Charlotte Islands and then down to Hope, British Columbia. ... continue below the picture...
... Mile 0 is actually the beginning of the Yellowhead Highway, which is easily recognizable due to the large yellow head on the sign that carries on throughout the highway.
It is a good idea when you are traveling to an area that you don't know very well, to have some understanding of what street signs mean in the region, just to make your journey a little easier!
