The sunsets are vivid along the West Coast of Taranaki especially on a fine, clear evening.
The waves work relentlessly on the fragile cliffs below as Mt Egmont looms in the background clear from her usual shroud of mist.
This is a magical location which we found by exploring to the end of the road - driving until we reached the start of the Whitecliffs Walkway by crossing private farm land.
Although we couldn't proceed any further we enjoyed the view of the sunset over the Taranaki coastline, sweeping past the White Cliffs (named after the White Cliffs of Dover in England) towards the town of New Plymouth.
