The winding railway tracks curve through the beautiful winter landscape of the snow covered Banff National Park. The railway tracks sit to the left of the Bow River which is partially covered in snow and ice. Evergreens stand tall on both sides of the railway leading to the majestic peaks of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
The source of Bow River comes from the Bow Glacier. Bow Glacier is an outflow glacier which supplies water for Bow Lake and Bow River.
Bow River is a great source for fishing; it also has an abundant population of brown trout and rainbow trout. Fisherman come from all over the world and enjoy the river year round.
