Morant's Curve, an S-bend along the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks back-dropped by Fairview Mountain in the Bow Range and fringed by pure white snow during winter adding to the magical scenery. The Bow River which flows alongside the railway tracks is partially covered in ice and snow as the winter takes hold in Banff National Park.
The Bow Valley Parkway is a journey full of charming Rocky Mountain scenery whether travelled in the height of summer when wildflowers bloom along the roadside or in winter when the landscape is carpeted in snow.
Railway tracks beside the snow and ice fringed Bow River during winter with Fairview Mountain (2743 metres/9001 feet) in the background, Banff National Park, Canadian Rocky Mountains, Alberta, Canada. Banff National Park forms part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage Site.
