Standing on one of the two viewing platforms at Rainbow Falls at Monashee Provincial Park in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada is almost deafening. The waterfall thunders with power as the cold mountain water pours over the edge of the cliff into Spectrum Creek and the visitor can feel the cold spray of the Rainbow Falls on his face. Watching your step is very important as the spray from the waterfall drifts over the platform and can be very slippery. From the waterfall the river continues its descent to the forest below. The boulders and the other rock formations shine with the mist from the Rainbow Falls.
Hiking anywhere in British Columbia is an exciting experience and the area around Rainbow Falls is no exception. The best weather for hiking near Rainbow Falls is from May to October.
